THE Department of Health (DOH) – CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) granted awards and incentives to its exemplary employees through the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE)
“This is to recognize the selfless efforts and sincere dedication to public service of individuals working in the government and for those who go above and beyond the call of duty,” Regional Director Eduardo C. Janairo stated.
“These employees are what we call as passionate and enthusiastic about their work and as such takes positive action to further the organization’s reputation, its values and interests,” he added.
The PRAISE is an incentive and recognition program for government employees who have performed extraordinary acts or services in the public interest as approved by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) in line with the Revised Policies on Employees Suggestions and Incentive Awards System provided under CSC Resolution No. 010112 and CSC Memorandum Circular No. 01, s. 2001.
According to CSC, the objective of the incentive and award is to encourage, recognize and reward employees, individually or in groups, for their suggestions, innovative ideas, inventions, discoveries, superior accomplishments, heroic deeds, exemplary behavior, extraordinary acts or services in the public interest.
The PRAISE includes both monetary and non-monetary awards and incentives to recognize, acknowledge and reward productive, creative, innovative and ethical behavior of employees through formal and informal manner.
The conferment of honor awards aims to motivate or inspire government employees to improve the quality of their performance and instill deeper involvement in public service.
The regional office has given Loyalty award to (ten) employees who has served continuously and satisfactorily for at least ten (10) years with additional cash incentive included.
A total of 12 Heroes Award were provided to various units in recognition for their commendable performance and significant contribution in the effective response during health emergencies and their continuous provision of technical assistance which has provided the much-needed support to LGUs and the communities, enabling them to rise above the challenges of disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Also, four (4) certificates of recognition with major success in implementing health initiatives and six (6) certificates of recognition for their commendable performance were awarded.
Regional Director Janairo was also honored and presented with a special award for having introduced essential innovations for 38 years which created an immeasurable impact in the health care system.
His extension of service will sure to guarantee the continuous implementation of projects and developments he initiated in the region.
“Kailangang pagtibayin pa natin ang mga naumpisahan ng mga proyektong pangkalusugan at ipagpatuloy ang mga kasalukuyang programa at ating pagbutihin at pagibayuhin pa ang pagbibigay ng serbisyong pangkalusugan sa ating mga kababayan,” Janairo emphasized.
“Nagpapasalamat din ako sa ating Secretary, kay Secretary Francisco Duque, sa kanyang pagtitiwala at sa kanyang pag-endorso upang ako ay makapagpatuloy pang makapagserbisyo.”
“Lagi nating tatandaan, bilang mga kawami ng gobyerno, na tayo ay nagtatrabaho para sa tao, ang sahod natin ay galling sa mga tao. Kaya’t dapat nating ibigay sa tao ang serbisyo na nararapat para sa kanila,” he concluded.
