INIHAYAG ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. na narepaso na ng 5-man advisory group ang courtesy resignation ng 118 sa mahigit 950 third level officers ng police force.

Ginawa ni Azurin ang pahayag sa Monday flag raising ceremony na sinundan ng pagbabasbas ng bagong biling sasakyan, armas at mga kagamitan sa Camp Crame, Quezon City kahapon.

“I would like to take the opportunity to inform the public that the 3rd level 5-man advisory group during the 2nd meeting had already reviewed 118 seniors officers,” ayon kay Azurin.

Bagaman, narepaso na ang CRs ng 118 3rd level PNP officers, hindi idinetalye ni Azurin kung pinal na ang assessment.

Hindi rin nito sinabi kung ano ang desisyon o rekomendasyon ng 5-man advisory group sa kanilang ebalwasyon habang ang CRs ng mahigit 800 na police generals at full pledged colonels ay susuriin sa mga susunod na meeting.

Gayundin, upang mapabilis, nagkasundo ang 5-man advisory group na dalawang beses kada linggo kanilang pagpupulong.

“While the more than 800 remaining are slated to be evaluated in the coming meetings, the group agreed to meet twice a week while ensuring that the objectivity, fairness and due diligence will be observed, “ ayon kay Azurin.

Ang 5-man advisory group ay binubuo nina Azurin, Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, dating Court of Appeals Associate Justice Melchor Sadang, Ret. MGen. Isagani Nerez, at dating Defense Sec. Gibo Teodoro.

Ang 3rd level officers ay mga full pledged colonel at general. EUNICE CELARIO
