INIREKOMENDA ng Investment Coordination Committee-Cabinet Committee (ICC-CabCom) ng National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Board ang 12 proyekto na nagkakahalaga ng P557.44 billion para sa NEDA Board approval.
“The approval of these projects is a pivotal step in fulfilling our thrust of fostering growth centers in the regions and expanding access to development opportunities throughout the country,” wika ni Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Ernesto Pernia.
Ayon kay Pernia, alinsunod ito sa National Spatial Strategy upang gawing episyente ang mga lungsod tulad ng Metro Manila at mapaghusay ang connectivity sa pagitan ng mga lugar.
Ang mga ito ay kinabibilangan ng tatlong bagong proyekto ng Department of Transportation (DOTr), pitong infrastructure pro-jects ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), at dalawang proyekto ng Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).
Ang DOTr-implemented projects ay kinabibilangan ng MRT 4 Project, EDSA Greenways Project, at ng Maritime Safety En-hancement Program (MSEP).
Ang ICC-CabCom approved infrastructure projects ng DPWH ay kinabibilanan din ng Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge Project; Cebu-Mactan Bridge (4th Bridge) at Coastal Road Construction Project (New Mactan Bridge Construction Project); Davao City Coastal Bypass Road, kasama ang Bucana Bridge Project; Capas-Botolan Road Project; at Panay-Guimaras-Negros Island Bridges Project.
Inaprubahan din ng ICC-CabCom ang mga pagbabago sa saklaw at halaga ng nagpapatuloy na Davao City Bypass Construction Project, na inaayudahan ng Japan International Cooperation Agency; at ang extension ng loan validity at implementation period, at pagtaas ng halaga ng Samar Pacific Coastal Road Project na ipinatupad na may loan financing mula sa Korean Export-Import Bank – Economic Development Cooperation Facility.
Aprubado rin ang unsolicited proposals para sa Davao International Airport at sa Laguindingan Airport ng CAAP.
