BAGO lisanin ang Philippine National Police (PNP) sa Disyembre 3, itinaas ni PNP Chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. ang ranggo ng 17 police generals.
Pinangunahan ni Acorda ang Oath-taking and Donning of Ranks Ceremony sa Multi-Purpose Center sa Camp Crame para sa 17 senior officers nitong Huwebes.
Ang nadagdagan ng estrelya sa balikat ay sina Lt Gen Emmanuel Peralta ng The Chief Directorial Staff; MGen Benjamin Silo, Jr , director, Civil Security Group; MGen Sidney Hernia; MGen Rommel Francisco Marbil, Comptroller; MGen Leo Francisco, The Directorate for Operations; MGen Jose Melencio Nartatez, Jr, Regional director ng National Capital Region Police Office; MGen. Samuel Nacion, director ng PNP Academy; BGen Jerich Royales, director, Information Technology Management Service; BGen Marcial Mariano Mahistrado IV, Deputy Regional Director for Administration PR0 2; BGen Romeo Macapaz, director ng Intelligence Group; BGen Job Russel Balaquit, executive officer ng Directorate for Operations; BGen Bernie Orig, – executive officer ng DHRDD; PBGen Portia B Manalad, WCPC, DIDM;

Ang panibagong estrelya na simbulo ng pag-angat sa ranggo ng mga senior police officer ay sumasalamin sa pagkikilala sa performance ng mga senior police officers.
“This momentous occasion holds great significance as it not only acknowledges their professional achievements but also showcases their embodiment of the principles that lie at the very core of the PNP,” ayon kay Acorda.
Para mapabuti pa ang performance ng promotees, tiniyak ni Acorda na nauwaan niya ang matagal nang asam ng mga ito na ilagay sa kanilang balikat ang panibagong star.
