Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines – From October 9 to 12, 2024, 1Rotary, in collaboration with the Cagayan de Oro (Bugo) School of Arts and Trades (COBSAT) — Region X’s largest TESDA-recognized Center of Excellence in Automotive Technology — and the Cagayan de Oro Local Government Unit (LGU), proudly conducted the 1Rotary Basic Car Air-Conditioning & Maintenance (BCAM) Training Batch 2. This initiative provided valuable training to 30 participants, including out-of-school youth, micro-business owners of car AC shops, and job seekers. Participants also received certification upon completion of the training.
Held at COBSAT’s expansive 900 sqm facility, the training focused on essential skills within the car air-conditioning industry, as part of our Community-Based Enterprise Program. In collaboration with TESDA, participants received high-quality training aimed at empowering them to build and grow their businesses.
Kacy Cruz, Marketing Department Head of 1Rotary, expressed her enthusiasm: “We are proud to partner with COBSAT and the CDO LGU to support the growth of local talent and businesses in the automotive air-conditioning industry. This initiative provides a fantastic opportunity for the community to gain relevant skills and advance their careers and businesses.”
Miraflor Emata, Vocational School Administrator III of COBSAT, also shared her thoughts: “The collaboration with 1Rotary and the CDO LGU is invaluable in enhancing the skill sets of our participants. Providing them with certification not only boosts their confidence but also increases their employability in the automotive sector.”
This collaborative effort showcases our dedication to fostering local talent and enhancing the capabilities of entrepreneurs in the automotive air-conditioning sector.
