Ayon sa pahayag ni Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). regional Office director Cayamombao Dia, ang dalawang flood-mitigation projects na ito ang makatutulong upang maiwasang umapaw ang Salug Daku River sa munisipyo ng Mahayag, lalawigan ng Zamboanga del Sur.
Nagkakahalaga ng P194.78 milyon ang proyekto at mayroon itong 6-meter revetment, spanning na 487.6 meters, 8.69 meters ang height at 328 meters ang haba.
Nabatid na sinimulan ang proyektong ito noong August 2019. dagdag pa ni Director Dia.
