2 IMPORTERS KINASUHAN SA DOJ

DALAWANG importer ang sinampahan ng kasong kriminal ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) sa Department of Justice (DOJ) bunsod sa paglabag sa Tariffs and Customs Code of the Philippines.

Ayon sa impormasyon na nakalap ng pahayagang ito, kabilang sa mga kinasuhang importers ang  Ben Zachary Agricultural Trading at ang mga empleyado ng Happy Chef Inc.

Batay sa record ng BOC, illegal na nagparating ang Ben Zachary Agricultural Trading,  sa Port of Davao ng 1,992 bags ng sibuyas na umaabot sa P925,131.20  ang halaga nang walang import permit o clearance mula sa Department of Agriculture.

Ang mga empleyado ng Happy Chef Inc. ay kinasuhan  ng  unlawful and unauthorized disarming of Electronic Customs Seals sa ilalim ng E-TRACC System.

Batay sa rekord, nangyari ang insidente noong Nobyembre 13, 2020 sa loob ng warehouse ng Happy Chef Inc. nang walang pahintulot o trip authorization ng Bureau of Customs Piers and Inspection Division.

Nilabag umano ng dalawang  importer  ang Sections 10.13.1 at 10.13.4 ng Customs Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 04-2020 in relation to Sections 10.12 at 14 sa ilalim ng CMO 04-2020 at Sections 1420, 1421, and 1430 of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA). FROILAN MORALLOS
