NA-intercept ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) ang dalawang Filipino Overseas Contract Worker (OFW) dahil sa palsipikadong Overseas Employment Certificates (OECs).

Ayon kay Commissioner Jaime Morente, naharang ang dalawang OFWs sa NAIA Terminal 3 noong Martes bago pa makasakay sa Qatar Airways flight patungong Qatar.

Ito ay matapos madiskubre ng mga tauhan ng Tra­vel and Control and Enforcement Unit (TCEU) na hindi naka-encode ang kanilang OECs sa Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) data base.

Ayon kay TCEU Chief Ma.Timotea Barizo,hindi muna ibinunyag ang pagkakilanlan ng dalawa, sapagkat sa ilalim ng Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) mahigpit na ipinagbabawal na pangalanan upang maprotektahan ang kapakanan ng dalawa.

Sa isinagawang inisyal na imbestigasyon ng mga tauhan ni Barizo, inamin ng dalawa na nagbayad ng tig-P35,000 sa naglakad ng mga dokumento.
