Samantala, ayon pa kay Maj. Dulawan na dalawang high-ranking officials ng Komiteng Larangang Guerilla-Baggas, Ilocos-Cordillera Regional Committee ang nagbalik-loob din sa mga kasapi ng 50th Infantry Battalion in Tabuk City, Kalinga upang malasap naman nila ang programa ng pamahalaang Rodrigo Duterte na Balik Loob, ito ay bunga ng patuloy na ginagawang Focused Military Operations sa nasasakupan ng 5ID.

Magugunitang ang nangyaring engkwentro kamakailan sa lalawigan ng Kalinga na ikinasawi ng kanilang mga lider kaya demoralized na aniya ang mga rebeldeng pangkat, kung kayat naisipan na umanong bumaba na sila sa kabundukan.

Habang ang pamunuan ng kasundaluhan ay patuloy din ang kanilang pakikipagdayalogo sa mga komunidad upang mabigyan ng impormasyon ang mga ito kaugnay sa mga front ng mga rebelde upang hindi sila malinlang. IRENE V. GONZALES
