MAGKAKALOOB ang Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) ng kabuuang $22.6 million grant assistance sa Filipinas sa susunod na anim na taon, ayon sa Country Programming Framework (CPF) nito para sa 2018 hanggang 2024.
Ang bagong six-year plan ay naglalayong tulungan ang Filipinas na matamo ang mas malaking food security at mapagbuti ang nutrisyon, at higit na malinang ang agricultural sector ng bansa.
Layunin ng FAO na tulungan ang bansa na mapalakas ang katatagan ng Filipino communities laban sa mga banta ng climate change at human-induced disasters.
“FAO and our partners acknowledge, that there is much more to be done to ensure that every Filipino will have access to safe, affordable and nutritious food and is resilient against threats of climate change and human-induced disasters,” wika ni Kundhavi Kadiresan, FAO Assistant Director-General at Regional Representative for Asia and the Pacific.
