BINUKSAN kahapon ng Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) ang 25 airports para sa commercial flights matapos na bigyan ng pahintulot ng local governments units (LGUs) ang local carriers.
Ayon kay CAAP spokesman Eric Apolonio, ang 25 airports ay ang Romblon Airport, Naga Airport, Manila International Airport, Clark International Airport, Cauayan Airport, Palanan Airport, Laguindingan Airport, Dipolog Airport, Pagadian Airport, Jolo Airport, Borongan Airport, Antique Airport, Masbate Airport, Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Cotobato Airport, Zamboanga Airport, Davao International Airport, General Santos Airport, Puerto Princesa International Airport, Tacloban Aireport, Legaspi Airport, Ormoc Airport Catbalogan Airport, San Jose Airport at ang Catarman Airport.
May pito pang paliparan ang bubuksan sa publiko sa magkakaibang petsa, batay sa rekomendasyon ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), kabilang dito ang Basco Airport, Virac, Butuan, San Vicente, at Busuanga Airport, na magbubukas sa July 1, Surigao Airport sa August, at Siargao Airport sa September 1.
Sa report ng CAAP, mananatiling sarado sa commercial flights ang 17 paliparan na kinabibilangan ng Dumaguete Airport, Maasim Airport, Hilongos Airport, Guiuan Airport, Sanga-Sanga Airport, Ozamiz Airport, Bohol Panglao International Airport, Marinduque Airport, Bacolod-Silay Airport, Kaliba International Airport, Roxas Airport, Caticlan Airport, Calbayog Airport, Laoag International Airport, Tuguegaro Airport, Camiguin Airport at Iloilo Airport.
Samantala, lilipad ang Philippine Airlines (PAL) PR 8102 Manila- Los Angeles- Barbados-Vancouver, PR 8117 Vancouver-Clark-Manila, PR 725 Bombay-Manila at ang regular flight PR 111 Guam-Manila para maiuwi ang mga na-stranded na Pinoy sa mga lugar na ito. FROILAN MORALLOS
