2GO Ships Mobile Clinics for DOH’s Bagong Pilipinas Program

Manila, Philippines, 26 September 2024 – 2GO, one of the Philippines’ leading logistics and sea transport provider, has partnered with the Department of Health (DOH) to support the Bagong Pilipinas Mobile Clinics initiative of the national government.

In collaboration with the Department of Transportation, the Philippine Ports Authority, Manila North Harbor Port, Inc. (MNHPI), and the Presidential Management Staff, 2GO safely transported 28 state-of-the-art mobile clinics from Metro Manila to Mindanao aboard the MV 2GO Masikap and MV 2GO Maligaya, two of the newest ships in the company’s fleet.

The Bagong Pilipinas Mobile Clinics program is designed to provide high-quality primary healthcare services to underserved and remote areas across the country, using fully equipped mobile clinics

These clinics will be deployed in parts of Mindanao where essential medical services are most needed.

Each mobile clinic is equipped with medical equipment and will be staffed by skilled healthcare professionals, ensuring access to a range of fundamental healthcare services.

“2GO is proud to contribute to this significant initiative which will positively impact the lives of countless Filipinos,” said Will Howell, 2GO’s Group Chief Finance Officer.

“By facilitating the transport of these mobile clinics, we are reinforcing our commitment to national health efforts and helping to expand healthcare access across the country,” he said.

He said this collaboration showcases the power of partnerships between the private sector and government in addressing healthcare accessibility issues and fostering positive change within communities.

The turnover and send-off were led by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, and Enrique Razon, Chairman and CEO of MNHPI.
