NAITALA ng Department of Health (DOH) nitong Linggo ang 36,763 bagong gumaling habang 29,828 ang bagong coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections.
Umaabot na sa 273,580 ang active cases habang ang total recoveries ay tumaas sa 3,090,164, o 90.4 percent ng 3,417,216 infections simula nang pumutok ang pandemya noong March 2020.
Sa active cases, 260,399 ang mild, 3,006 ang moderate, 8,371 ang asymptomatic, 1,496 ang malala, at 308 ang kritikal.
“Of the 29,828 reported cases today, 29,237 (98 percent) occurred within the recent 14 days — Jan. 10 to Jan. 23, 2022,” ayon sa DOH.
Ang National Capital Region (NCR) ang may pinakamataas na kaso na 5,178 o 18 percent ng new infections; Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon), 4,227 o 14 percent; at Central Luzon, 2,787 o 10 percent.
Ang death toll ay nasa 53,472 makaraang madagdagan ng 67.
“Of the 67 deaths, 49 occurred in January 2022 (73 percent), one in December 2021 (1 percent), two in
November 2021 (3 percent), eight in October 2021 (12 percent), four in September 2021 (6 percent), one in August 2021 (1 percent), one in July 2021 (1 percent), and one in June 2021 (one percent) due to the late encoding of death information to COVIDKaya,” ayon sa DOH.
