4 PH TEAMS SA MAIN DRAW NG 16-COUNTRY FIVB VOLLEYBALL WORLD BEACH PRO TOUR FUTURES

TATLUMPU’T walong koponan — 21 men at 17 women— mula sa 16 bansa, kabilang ang apat na Philippine pairs, ang sasabak sa sixth leg ng 2024 FIVB Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Futures na magsisimula sa Huwebes sa  Nuvali Sand Courts ng Ayala Land sa City of Santa Rosa.

Pangungunahan ng towering pair nina Ran Abdilla at AJ Pareja at ng duo nina Rancel Varga at James Buytrago ang kampanya ng bansa sa men’s main draw habang sina Kly Orillaneda at Gen Eslapor at Alexa Polidario at Jenny Gaviola ang tatrangko sa women’s side.

Ang torneo— isa sa 36 legs na kinalendaryo ng FIVB at Volleyball World for the Futures event— ang ikalawang event na inorganisa ng  Philippine National Volleyball Federation sa loob ng isang linggo matapos ang Asian Volleyball Confederation Beach Tour Nuvali Open na natapos noong Linggo sa  Nuvali.

“It’s another four days of elite volleyball action,” sabi ni PNVF president Ramon “Tats” Suzara patungkol sa event.

Sasabak sa men’s division ang Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Japan, Malaysia, Sweden, Thailand, Turkiye, Latvia at New Zealand.

Pasok sa women’s contest ang USA, Canada, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Lithuania, New Zealand, Sweden, Germany, Latvia, Malaysia at  Thailand.

Ang  Futures ay isa sa anim na major international tournaments na kinalendaryo ng PNVF para ngayong taon na tatampukan ng Volleyball Nations League Men’s Week 3 sa Mall of Asia Arena sa June 18-23.

Nasa PNVF international calendar din ang  5thAVC Challenge Cup for Women (May 25-June 1, PhilSports Arena), 4th Southeast Asia V League Women’s Week 2 (July) at Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Challenge (November 28-December 1, Nuvali).

Ang Pilipinas ang solo host ng FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship 2024.
