MAHIGIT sa 4,000 aplikante ang nakakuha ng trabaho sa nationwide fairs na idinaos noong Labor Day, ayon sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Sa ulat ng Bureau of Local Employment (BLE), may kabuuang 4,314 aplikante ang hired-on-the-spot (HOTS) para sa mga posisyon ng factory/production worker, customer service representative, human resource officer, office clerk, at teacher.
Ang top five occupations na may pinakamaraming na-hire ay ang production worker, service crew, assembler, production operator, at cashier.
Samantala, may kabuuang 21,593 applicants ang kinonsiderang hired, subalit kailangan pa nilang magsumite ng mga karagdagang requirements, o maaaring sumailalim pa sa interviews, trade test o examination.
Iniulat din ng BLE na may kabuuang 35,242 katao ang lumahok sa one-day Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK)-Build Build Build (BBB)-Jobs Jobs Jobs fair, kung saan ang main site ay ang Kingsborough International Convention Center sa San Fernando, Pampanga.
Ilang jobseekers din ang ni-refer sa Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) para sa skills training (1,543), sa livelihood assistance na ipinagkaloob ng DOLE (1,604), at sa Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) para sa business opportunity (2,053).
May kabuuang 2,143 applicants ang nirefer sa iba pang participating government agencies tulad ng National Bureau of Investigation, Social Security System, Professional Regulatory Commission, Overseas Welfare Workers Administration, National Reintegration Center for OFWs, PhilHealth, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, at National Council on Disability Affairs-People With Disability.
Nagpahayag ng pasasalamat si Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III sa mga employer para sa mahigit 204,000 local at overseas employment opportunities, kabilang ang mga bakante sa iba’t ibang posisyon sa mga ahensiya ng pamahalaan.
“We are grateful to our employers who participated. Their involvement made the job fair massive and a big success. We are equally thankful to our partner agencies in the TNK and BBB programs for the successful undertaking,” anang DOLE chief.
