5 NOMINEES NADAGDAG SA LISTAHAN NG GABINETE NI BBM

LIMA pang nominee ang pinangalanan bilang mga itinalagang kalihim sa iba’t ibang departamento ng papasok na administrasyon ni President-elect Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr.

Sa isang press briefing, inianunsiyo ni incoming Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles sa mga mamamahayag na kabilang dito ay sina dating chair ng Commission on Information and Communication and Technology (CICT) Atty. Ivan John Uy, bilang Secretary-designate ng Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT); dating Manila Rep. Naida Angping bilang Secretary-designate ng Presidential Management Staff (PMS); Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Assistant Governor Amenah ‘Mina’ Pangandaman, bilang Secretary-designate sa Department of Budget and Management (DBM); Liloan Mayor Esperanza Christina Frasco, bilang Secretary-designate sa Department of Tourism; at ang kilalang journalist at public servant na si Erwin Tulfo, Secretary-designate sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Si Uy, bukod sa pagiging gabinete ni dating Presidente Noynoy Aquino (PNoy), kasalukuyang corporate secretary ito ng Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) at Humprey fellow ng University of Minnesota.

Kilala itong information technology (IT) law expert at regular resource person sa Kamara at Senado kaugnay sa IT matters.

Tutuon si Uy sa digital infrastructure na isa sa pangakong programa ni Marcos.

“The president-elect’s vision of a digitally empowered citizenry actively participating in the increasingly digital economy would greatly help address nagging issues on poverty, job creation, bridging the digital divide making us globally competitive,” pahayag ni Uy.

Hindi naman bago si Angping sa serbisyo publiko dahil nagsilbi itong three-term congresswoman sa third district ng Manila at malawak abg karanasan sa international relations and diplomacy.

Si Angping, na nagwaging Ms. Caltex noong 1970, ay nagsilbing technical assistant ng Office of the Governor sa Leyte at executive assistant ng dating China, Saudi Arabia, at US Ambassador Benjamin Romualdez.

Samantala, pinangunahan naman ni Pangandaman ang iba’t ibang tanggapan ng gobyerno bago naging managing director ng Office of the Governor at Executive Offices ng BSP noong 2019.

Si Pangandaman ay dating assistant secretary din ng DBM at dating chief of staff ng yumaong Senate President Edgardo Angara.

Si DOT Secretary designate Frasco naman ay two-termer mayor ng Liloan, isang first income class municipality sa Metro Cebu.

Spokesperson din ito ni incoming Vice President Inday Sara Duterte sa nakalipas na halalan.
Kilala naman sa pagtulong at public service si DSWD Secretary designate Tulfo.

Bukod sa pagiging veteran journalist, kilala si Tulfo sa pagtulong lalo na sa mahihirap, sa pamamagitan ng kanyang “action center.”
