6 PH FIRMS PASOK SA FORBES’ 2019 GLOBAL 2000 LIST

ANIM na mga higanteng kompanya sa Fi­lipinas ang nakapasok sa Forbes Magazine’s Global 2000 list, isang international ranking ng ‘world’s biggest, most powerful, at most valuable publicly-listed companies’.

Base sa 17th annual Global 2000 roster (www.forbes.com/global2000) na ipinalabas ng Forbes noong Huwebes, ang mga kompanya sa bansa na nakapasok ay kinabibilangan ng BDO Unibank, SM Investments Corp., Top Frontier Investment Holdings (ang controlling shareholder ng conglomerate San Miguel Corp.), Ayala Corp., Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co., at JG Summit Holdings Inc.

Ang BDO ang highest-ranked local company sa listahan sa ika-1,018 puwesto habang ang parent conglomerate nito na SM In-vestments ay ika-1,092.

Samantala, ang Top Frontier ay nasa ika-1,196 puwesto, habang ang Ayala ay ika-1,236 at ang Metrobank at JG Summit ay ika-1,639 at ika-1,720, ayon sa pagkakasunod.

Ang rankings ay base sa pagsusuri ng Forbes sa apat na panukat: sales, profits, assets, at market value.

“Forbes’ 17th annual ranking of the world’s largest public companies is a reflection of the state of the global economy today: who’s on top, who’s growing and who’s seen better days,” pahayag ng  Forbes Magazine.

Sa ika-7 sunod na taon, ang Industrial & Commercial Bank of China ang nangunguna sa global list, habang naungusan ng  JPMorgan Chase & Co. ang  China Construction Bank para sa ikalawang puwesto.

Ang top 10 companies sa Forbes’ 2019 Global 2000 list at kani-kanilang sektor ay ang Industrial & Com-mercial Bank of China (China) – banking,  JPMorgan Chase (US) – diversified financials, China Construc-tion Bank (China) – banking,  Agricultural Bank of China (China) – banking, Bank of America (US) – banking, Apple (US) – technology hardware and equipment, Ping An Insurance (China) – insurance, Bank of China (China) – banking, Royal Dutch Shell (Netherlands) – oil and gas operations, at Wells Far-go (United States) – diversified financials.
