MAYNILA –SUGATAN ang anim katao makaraang masunog ang nakadaong na barko sa bahagi ng Delpan Bridge, Tondo.

Ang mga nasugatan ay mga crew ng mga nakadaong na MV TITAN 8 at dalawa mula sa MV PRINCESS CHRISTINE.

Sinabi ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) nagsimula ang sunog alas 9:00 ng umaga kahapon sa nakadaong na MV TITAN 8.

Sa salaysay ng isang crew ng barko, nakarinig sila ng pagsabog kaya dali-dali siyang tumalon sa tubig.
Nakadaong sa Delpan Wharf ang barko para sa refueling operation bilang paghahanda sa pagbiyahe nito patungong Palawan.

Agad naglagay ang Coast Guard ng oil spill boom para maiwasan ang posibleng oil spill.

Agad ding nag-isyu ng notice to mariners (NOTAM) at pinaiwas ang mga barko na dumaan sa lugar.

Samantala, dalawang crew ng MV TITAN 8 na pinaghahanap.

May ilan ding bahay sa malapit sa Delpan Bridge ang nadamay sa sunog matapos anurin ang mga drum ng gasolina na lulan ng MV TITAN 8. PMRT
