ZAMBOANGA CITY- HALOS 600 na mga recruit ang nagsanay sa PCG Regional Training Center Zamboanga na matatagpuan sa San Ramon, Zamboanga City.

Tatagal ang pagsasanay ng mga recruits ng hanggang anim na buwan kung saan hahasain ang 573 recruits sa military drills, basic soldiery, at customs and traditions ng PCG.

Sasanayin din ang mga recruits patungkol sa mga mandato ng serbisyo, partikular ang pagpapatupad ng maritime law enforcement, maritime security, maritime safety, search and rescue, at marine environmental protection.

Kasama sa nakibahagi sa convening ceremony ng Coast Guard Non-Officers’ Course (CGNOC) Class 85 – 2021 sina CG Commodore Roben N De Guzman, Deputy Commander ng Coast Guard Education, Training, and Doctrine Command (CGETDC) at CG Commodore Luisito S Sibayan, Commander ng Coast Guard District Southwestern Mindanao (CGDSWM).

Bago makapasok sa CGNOC Class 85 – 2021, sumalang muna ang mga recruits sa masinsinang medical evaluation at health assessment para masigurong ‘physically fit’ ang kanilang pangangatawan at handa sa mga pagsubok na haharapin sa loob ng training center.
