PANGASINAN-PITONG mangingisda ang nailigtas ng mga tauhan ng Philippine Navy at Philippine Coast Guard matapos na magkaroon ng engine failure ang gamit nilang fishing boat sa dagat sakop ng Silaqui Island sa lalawigang ito.

Ayon sa report na ipinarating kay NOLCOM commander Lt Gen Arnulfo Marcelo Burgos, sinaklolohan ang pitong mangingisda na nasa 15 nautical miles northwest ng Bolinao, Pangasinan makaraang i-radyo sa kanila ang nawawala ang fishing boat .

Agad na minobilisa ng Naval Forces Northern Luzon ang kanilang mga tauhan mula Patrol Craft 388 (PC 388) para magsagawa ng search and rescue operations.

Natagpuan ang mga mangingisdang sakay ng FB Sea Hunter malapit sa Silaqui Island na agad na inilipat ang mga ito sa PC 388 at binigayan ng proper health screening bilang pagsunod sa health protocols na ipinatutupad bunsod ng COVID-19.

Ayon kay Capt Francisco Tagamolila, commander ng Naval Forces Northern Luzon,agad na pinagkalooban ng tubig at pagkain ang mga nasagip.

Nang makarating ang 7 mangingisda sa Bolinao, Pangasinan ay agad silang ipinasa ng crew ng PC 388 sa PCG Pangasinan para sa pagdodokumento at medical examinations. VERLIN RUIZ
