A showcase of designers from EVSU

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Leyte Provincial Office, in partnership with the Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) and Robinsons North Tacloban, conducted the Inexplorada Fashion Show, highlighting contemporary and curated creations of fashion design students last 21 May 2024.

The one-day fashion show dubbed “Inexplorada 2024” aims to showcase unique fashion pieces of young designers from EVSU. The show served as a platform for them to gain exposure and receive feedback from the public, which is crucial for their professional growth and development as they prepare to enter the competitive fashion industry.

The event is part of the four-day creative industry initiative of DTI Leyte entitled “Arte Leyte Fashion and Creative Shows with Exhibit: Inexplorada 2024 x Rayhak Sinirangan” that will run from 21-24 May 2024.

Rayhak Sinirangan meanwhile covers the succeeding three-day creative shows and exposition from 22-24 May 2024 filled with activities dedicated to celebrating and promoting the rich and unique cultural elements and talents of Eastern Visayas, eventually fostering a sense of community, pride, and economic growth.

DTI Leyte Provincial Director Araceli D. Larraga congratulated the young designers for pulling off the fashion show thru Fashion Designer Prof. Tipay Caintic and encouraged everyone to promote the creative industry during the four-day festivity.

Partners from the government and private sector are also invited to support and take advantage of the opportunity to experience and taste the artisan craftsmanship of local artists whose masterpieces will be exhibited.
