Mismong si AFP chief of staff Lt. Gen Jose Faustino ang nanguna sa change-of-command at retirement ceremony na isinagawa sa Camp Lapu-Lapu, Cebu City.

Si Ancan na miyembro ng Philippine Military Academy “Hinirang” Class of 1987 ay nagsilbi munang 8th ID commander bagong maging VISCOM chief.

Kabilang sa mga puwesto na hinawakan ni Ancan ay ang UN Military Observer at Timor Leste commanding cfficer of AFP Peacekeeping Operations Center; at battalion commander ng tatlong iba’t ibang Infantry Battalions ng 10th Infantry (Agila) Division sa Mindanao.

Mistah ng bagong VISCOM chief sina Faustino, Philippine Army Chief Lt. Gen. Andres Centino at si Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Gen. Guillermo Eleazar.
