AKO BICOL NANAWAGAN NG PAGKAKAISA, DASAL VS COVID-19

NANAWAGAN  si Ako Bicol party list Rep. Elizaldy S. Co today  ng pagkakaisa  at dasal  sa gitna ng pagharap ng mga lider ng bansa  at ng  mga frontliner sa giyera  laban sa  COVID-19 pandemic.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni Rep. Co  na  mahalaga ang pagkakaisa  upang  malampasan ang krisis  na   umabot na sa nakaalarmang lebel  dahil sa mahigit sa halos 120,000 positive COVID-19 cases. Nakapagtala rin ang DOH ng  6,352  bagong kaso  na pinakamataas  sa isang araw lamang.

“At no other point in our recent history do we need to stand together to fight a common, yet invisible enemy. Let’s heed and help our medical experts and frontliners by staying home, wearing protective gear and frequent handwashing. Most of all, we should fervently pray for national healing,” dagdag nito.

“Let us also pray for our leaders, especially President Rodrigo Duterte, his Cabinet and members of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases. They, too, need help and guidance in facing a pandemic no one has prepared for,” he added.

Habang hindi aniya perpekto ang  COVID-19 response  iginiit ng solon na  karapat-dapat na  bigyan  ng kredito ang Pangulong  Duterte  dahil sa pamamahagi ng ayuda, pagpapagamot sa mga may sakit  at pagpapanatili ng  kaayusan ng bansa.

“A weaker leader would have buckled down under tremendous pressure. If it were not for the President’s laser focus on security, we could be in the brink of chaos and riots with the growing number of hungry people locked down by the pandemic,” dagdag ni Co.

Higit sa lahat ayon pa kay Rep. Co, dapat purihin  at suportahan ang Pangulo sa  paghingi ng tulong sa labas upang  magkaroon ng vaccine laban sa COVID-19. “While our resources are limited, we’re doing our best to save as many Filipinos from hunger and isolation,” dagdag nito.
