Bukod sa tuition fees, libre rin ang iba pang miscellaneous at laboratory fees sa mga State Universities and Colleges, Local Universities and Colleges, at State-Run Technical-Vocational Institutions.
Pinirmahan ni dating President Rodrigo Roa Duterte noong 03 August 2017, kasama rin sa batas ang pagkakaroon ng Tertiary Education Subsidy at Student Loan Program, upang palakasin ang Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education. NLVN
