CAMP CRAME –PINANGUNAHAN ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Gen. Oscar Albayalde ang 20-member PNP delegation sa 39th ASEAN Association of Chiefs of Police (ASEANAPOL) Conference sa Hanoi, Vietnam simula ngayong araw hanggang sa Biyernes, Setyembre 20.
Habang wala sa bansa si Albayalde, itinalaga si LTGen Archie Francisco Gamboa, PNP Deputy Chief for Operations bilang PNP Officer-in-Charge.
Ihaharap ni Albayalde ang mga dokumento ng PNP hinggil sa kasalukuyang transnational crime concerns kasama ang pagsisikap na mapalakas ang international cooperation sa iba pang police forces sa ASEAN laban sa transnational syndicates.
Bukod sa PNP, kabilang sa dadalo sa 39th ASEANAPOL ay ang mga official delegation mula sa Royal Brunei Police Force, Cambodian National Police, Indonesian National Police, Lao People’s Democratic Republic General Department of Police, Royal Malaysia Police, Myanmar Police Force, Singapore Police Force, Royal Thai Police, at ang host agency na, Socialist Republic of Vietnam Police.
Dadalo rin ang mga observer at dialogue partner delegations mula sa Fiji, Timor Leste, National Crime Agency (NCA) of the United Kingdom, International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), ASEAN Secretariat, ICPO-INTERPOL, Australian Federal Police, National Police Agency of Japan, New Zealand Police, Ministry of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China, EUROPOL, Russia, Turkey, at ang National Police Agency of Republic of Korea.
Kabilang naman sa tatalakayin sa tatlong Conference Commissions ang Illicit drug trafficking, Terrorism, Arms Smuggling, Trafficking in Persons, Maritime Fraud, Commercial Crime, Cybercrime, Fraudulent travel documents, Transnational Fraud, ASEANAPOL Database System, mutual assistance on criminal matters, exchange of personnel and training programs, at ang n ASEANAPOL Forensic Science Network.
Magkakaroon din ng bilateral meetings ang PNP sa UK National Crime Agency at sa Australian Federal Police.
Noong May 2014, ang PNP ang nag-host sa 34th ASEANAPOL Conference sa Filipinas na founding member ng nasabing organisasyon habang ang unang ASEANAPOL Conference ay ginanap din sa bansa noong 1981. EUNICE C.
