ANGELU DE LEON HANGA SA YOUNG STARS OF TODAY SA PAGPA-PACKAGE NG KANILANG SARILI

SOBRANG excited si Angelu de Leon sa pagsasama-sama nila ng mga fellow ’90s stars na sina Sunshine Dizon, Angelika dela Cruz, at Marvin Agustin sa soap na Inagaw Na Bituin na magsisimulang ipalabas sa February 11.

“Kasi nga,” Angelu revealed, “para siyang mixture of everything good. Na lahat puwede mong ipag-sama-sama and you know that everything is going to be good, everyone would be professional work-ing wise. At lahat, mayroong maiko-contribute roon sa show.

“Very, very fortunate actually, ‘yung mga bago naming alaga dahil marami silang mapaghuhugutan na mga aral sa mga tao. At sana, makinig sila sa amin. That when we say something, it’s not, wala lang.

“Gusto naming lumago silang lahat bilang isang artista. Hindi lang bilang celebrity, bilang aktres, kung hindi bilang tao rin,” she intimated.

Anyway, the press had a grand time talking to Angelu at the press conference of Inagaw Na Bituin held at the 17th floor of the GMA Network building.

Nu’ng sumikat at magkapangalan sina Angelu, magkasing-edad halos sila nina Kyline Alcantara at Therese Malvar.

“Pero, they’re very lucky to have that time to shine now,” she asseverated. ‘Yun ang sinasabi namin na they have to be grateful for it. They have to be humble.

“Yes, it’s an honor to be given such a role yet be humble enough to realize na they have to do their best also. Hindi porke’t nilagay ka riyan, wala ka ng trabahong gagawin.”

Na-notice daw niyang lahat ngayon ay mabilis na dumarating at mabilis ding nawawala.

“In a snap, everything can change,” she quipped.

“Lalo na ngayon, iba na talaga ang mundo. Sabi nga namin, dati tumatagal ng five years ang show. As much as we want Inagaw na Bituin to last that long, but you know, everybody has their contribution.

“Kailangan din na ma-realize nila strike while the iron is hot and they have to be humble enough and be grateful to have a show like this.”

Malaki raw ang pasasalamat niyang they lived in the ’90s and that they have no proof of what they did.

Pero ngayon, parang make or break daw ang mga artista sa post nila, sa kanilang IG stories.

The way she looked at it, mas pressured ang mga kabataang artista ngayon as compared to their time.

During their time, it was more of a discipline. They were handled and guided by their perspective man-agers, VIVA, network be-fore.

Pero napansin daw niyang mas magaling magbenta ng kani-kanilang sarili ang mga young star of today.

“Magaling sila sa marketing,” she keenly observed. “Sila mismo, they can sell themselves. Sa amin, noong panahon namin, hin-di namin ‘yun naging forte. Kasi, we had someone to do that.

“Our job is to act. Our job is to follow the director and be on the roles.”

As Kyline Alcantara’s mom in their teleserye, hindi raw niya ma-categorize if she is kind or the contravi-da type.

“Kasi, hindi pa nari-reveal kung ano talaga ang totoong character ni Aurora. Kasi, sa totoo lang, hindi naman talaga siya pabor sa ginawa ng asawa niya.” Michael Flores delineates her husband in this soap.
