INAPRUBAHAN ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang one-time financial assis- tance na P20,000 sa mga pensioner ng Government Service Insurance System at Social Security System.

Sa ilalim ng Administrative Order No. 39 na nilagdaan ng Pangulong Duterte nitong Abril 19, makikinabang sa one-time na ayuda ang may 31,000 pensioners ng  GSIS at SSS.

“The results of the actuarial studies of the SSS and GSIS show that the SIF (Social Insurance Fund) can finance the one-time grant without affecting its stability, and without requiring additional contributions,” nakasaan sa kautusan.

Ipatutupad naman ng Employees’ Compensation Commision (ECC) ang benepisyo ng mga dating manggagawa kasunod ng obserbasyon na nakararanas ang mga pensioner ng kagipitan dahil sa kanilang sitwasyon at mahabang panahon ng kuwarantina dahil hindi sila makalabas.

Sakop ng financial assistance ang Employee’s Compensation pensioners dahil sa  permanent partial disability, permanent total disability and survivorship, sa mga pribado at public sectors, depende sa  availability ng pondo at  pertinent laws, rules and regulations.

Inatasan na rin ng Pangulong  Duterte ang ECC, SSS at GSIS na maglabas ng kaukulang halaga para ibigay ang  one-time financial assistance mula sa reserbang pondo ng SIF at ang  SSS at GSIS ang magpapatupad sa ilalim ng EC Program.

“The ECC, in coordination with the SSS and GSIS, shall issue the implementing rules and regulations necessary for the effective implementation of the Order,” sabi pa sa AO.
