INAPRUBAHAN ng National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) noong Martes ang umento para sa minimum wage earners sa Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, at Soccsksargen.
Sakop ng wage hike ang 1.5 million full-time workers.
Sa isang statement noong Miyerkoles, sinabi ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) na naglabas din ang Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards (RTWPB) mula sa Cagayan Valley at Soccsksargen ng wage orders para sa kasambahays na magbibigay benepisyo sa 75,853 domestic workers.
Ang RTWPB sa Cagayan Valley ay nag-isyu ng Wage Order No. RTWPB 2-22 noong Sept. 21 na nagtatakda ng ₱30 increase sa dalawang tranches: sa oras na magkabisa at sa April 1, 2024.
“After full implementation of the tranches, the minimum wage rates in the region will be ₱450 for non-agriculture and ₱430 for agriculture establishments” ayon sa DOLE.
Samantala, ang Wage Order No. 02-DW-05 ay nagkakaloob ng ₱500 monthly increase sa sahod ng mga kasambahay.
Nag-isyu naman ang regional wage board sa Central Luzon ng Wage Order No. RBIII-24 noong Sept. 19 na magbibigay ng ₱40 umento sa mga manggagawa sa non-agriculture, agriculture, at retail/service establishments.
Sa ilalim naman ng Wage Order No. RB XII-23 na inisyu ng Soccsksargen RTWPB noong Sept. 21, may ₱35 increase ang mga manggagawa sa non-agriculture, agriculture, at service/retail establishments sa dalawangtranches: ₱22 (first tranche) sa oras na magkabisa at ₱13 (second tranche) sa Jan. 1, 2024.
“After full implementation, the daily minimum wage rates in the region will be ₱403 for non-agriculture, and ₱382 for agriculture, and service/retail,” anang DOLE.
Ang mga kasambahay sa rehiyon ay tatanggap din ng ₱500 wage increase kaya ang minimum monthly wages ay tataas sa ₱5,000 sa cities at first-class municipalities, at ₱4,500 sa iba pang bayan sa rehiyon.
“All wage orders will be published on 30 September 2023, and shall take effect after 15 days or on 16 October 2023,” dagdag ng labor department.
