LABING-ANIM na women gold medalists mula sa virtual Women’s Martial Arts Festival ang itatampok sa web series na ‘Rise Up, Shape Up’ ng Philippine Sports Commission’s (PSC) ngayong Sabado.

Tampok sa episode ang national martial arts ng Pilipinas, kung saan tatalakayin ni PSC Commissioner Celia Kiram ang maikling kasaysayan ng arnis sa kanyang regular segment na  K-Isport.

Magjging pokus sa episode ang mga kuwento ng arnis gold medalists at ang kanilang winning performances, simula kay  Kristine Petacoste ng Butuan City, na nagwagi ng gold medal sa Juniors Traditional Single Weapon, kasunod sina Liendzhay Gigante ng Pasig City, naghari sa Juniors Traditional Double Weapon, at Jana Lorraine Quintilla ng Rizal, na nagpasiklab sa Juniors Traditional Espada Y Daga event para sa 13-15 years old.

Idinagdag ni Women in Sports Commissioner Kiram na ipinagdiriwang sa  event ang lakas ng mga kababaihan sa larangan ng martial arts. Ang programa ay bilang suporta rin sa Republic Act No. 9710, na mas kilala bilang  “Magna Carta of Women”, na nagtatakda sa karapatan ng bawat babae sa equal participation sa sports.

Ang Rise Up, Shape Up ay isang weekly web series na naka-stream via Facebook at YouTube tuwing Sabado, alas-10:30 ng umaga at Linggo, alas-7 ng gabi.
