PINASINAYAAN noong Martes, Nob­yembre 13, ang bagong evacuation center sa Sta. Rosa City, Laguna kung saan nanguna sa inagurasyon sa natapos na proyekto sina Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar, Laguna Gov. Ramil Hernandez, Congw. Arlene Arcillas, Sta. Rosa City Mayor Danilo Ramon Fernandez, at DPWH Senior Undersecretary Rafael C. Yabut.

Kasabay ng pasinaya sa P34.74 million Sta. Rosa Evacuation Center ang turnover ceremony sa Barangay Tagapo, Sta Rosa City.

“The new evacuation center that houses a 2-storey accommodation building can cater to 33 families or 132 persons displaced by calamities,” ayon kay Villar.

Sinabi pa ni Villar na sa pakikipagtulungan ng National Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), local government at iba pang concerned agencies, ay naitayo ang nasabing evacuation center sa ligtas na lugar ng Barangay Tagapo.

Aniya, layunin nitong matulungan ang mga lumilikas dahil sa kalamidad.

Ang nasabing evacuation center ay pasado sa Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

“These facilities were built to ensure that evacuees will have everything they need in order to remain safe and resilient and promptly recover from any calamity without casualty,” dagdag pa ni Villar.
