NAGKAROON ng reorganisasyon sa mga komite sa Senado matapos palitan ni Senador Chiz Escudero si Senador Migz Zubiri bilang Senate president.
Sa plenary session na pinangunahan ni Escudero, maraming senador ang itinalaga sa mga binakanteng major committees gaya ng mga sumusunod:
Si dating Senate President Zubiri ay itinalagang chairman ng Senate Committee on Economic Affairs; Senador Sonny Angara, Committee on Justice and Human Rights; Senadora Nancy Binay, Committee on Sustainable Goals; Senadora Pia Cayetano, Committee on Energy; Senador JV Ejercíto, Committee on Local Government; Senador Lito Lapid, Committee on Tourism; Senadora Imee Marcos, Urban Planning, Housing and Resettlement; Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino, Committee on Ethics and Privileges; Senador Raffy Tulfo, Committee on Public Services; Senador Joel Villanueva, Committee on Labor, Employment and Human Resources Development; at Senador Mark Villar, Committee on Government Corporations and Public Enterprises.
Habang si Senador Alan Peter Cayetano ang itinalaga bilang chairman ng Committee on Accounts, Committee on Trade and Industry, at Committee on Higher, Technical and Vocational Education.
Si Senador Jinggoy Estrada ang Senate Pro Tempore at si Tolentino ang majority floor leader.
“Everyone should have a committee and former Senate President Zubiri expressed to me their desire to have committees and to work. I wholly agree dahil kailangan naman talaga namin ng makakatulong,” ani Escudero.
Sa isang press conference ay sinabi ni Escudero na mayroong higit 45 komite ang dapat na punan ng 24 senador kung kaya patuloy ang isinasagawang organizational process.
