SIMULA sa Lunes, Mayo 24, ay muling ipatutupad ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang ban sa light trucks sa EDSA at Shaw Boulevard.
Ayon sa MMDA, ang mga trak na may gross capacity weight na 4,500 kilograms ay bawal dumaan sa EDSA mula Magallanes, Makati City hanggang North Avenue, Quezon City, kapwa northbound at southbound, mula alas-5 ng umaga hanggang alas-9 ng gabi.
Ang mga light truck ay bawal din sa Shaw Boulevard mula Mandaluyong City hanggang Pasig City mula alas-6 ng umaga hanggang alas- 10 ng umaga at mula alas-5 ng hapon hanggang alas-10 ng gabi.
Ipatutupad ang light trucks mula Lunes hanggang Sabado, maliban sa holidays.
“A violation of the regulation carries a P 2,000 fine,” ayon sa MMDA.
Magugunitang sinuspinde ang truck ban nang isailalim ang Metro Manila sa modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).
Subalit ibinalik ito ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa general community quarantine with heightened restrictions simula Mayo 15.
