DINISPATSA ni top seed Jayden Reece Ballado si No. 2 Avegail Joy Ansay, 7-6 (3), 6-3, upang kunin ang girls’ 16-under title sa Philippine Sports Commission-Philippine Tennis Association (PSC-Philta) tournament nitong Lunes sa Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.
“I’m glad because I did what I wanted to do in the match,” wika ng 15-anyos na si Ballado makaraang maibulsa ang kanyang ika-9 na 16-under singles title ngayong taon.
“I just kept my patience and instead of thinking about the errors, I focused on the next point because that is more important,” dagdag ng Grade 10 student sa Muñoz National High School sa Nueva Ecija.
Nagwagi rin si Ballado ng 18-under doubles title kasama si Shiloh Louisa Cruz. Tinalo nila sina Ansay at Ave Maria Policarpio, 6-4, 5-7, 10-8.
Samantala, pinataob ni top seed Mikaela Ngu si Shiloh Louisa Cruz, 3-6, 6-2, 6-0, upang makopo ang girls 18-under crown.
Ibinasura ni top seed Maristella Torrecampo si second seed Ayl Xyza Gonzaga, 6-1, 6-1, sa girls 14-under final habang namayani si second seed Lilith Rufino sa girls 12-under title laban kay top seed Athena Zhia Liwag, 7-5, 2-0 (ret.).
Sa boys’ division, nasikwat ni third seed Adrian Cagitla ang 18-under title kontra John Benedict Aquino, 6-3, 6-2.
Namayani naman si top seed Anthony Bjorn Castigador kontra third seed Rafa Monte De Ramos, 6-2, 6-3, upang maibulsa ang 14-under title.
Ang boys’ 12-under title ay inangkin ni fourth seed Jan Caleb Villeno, na nangibabaw laban kay Everett Pete Fernan Niere, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
