SULU- SIYAM katao kabilang ang 7 menor de edad ang nasagip ng mga tauhan ng 4th Marine Brigade ng Joint Task Force (JTF) Sulu matapos na tumaob ang sinasakyan nilang bangka sa dagat sakop ng Barangay Tandu Bato, Luuk sa lalawigang ito.
Ayon kay Maj. Gen Ignatius Patrimonio, Commander ng JTF-Sulu at kasalukuyang 11th Infantry Division commander, ang siyam na rescued passengers ay nakilalang sina @Alpi, 28-anyos ; @Katrina, 21-anyos; @Karina, 18-anyos ; @Sarimah, 17-; @Junaipa, 15-anyos; @Analiza,14-anyos; @Malia, 14- anyos; @Sindah, 13-anyos at @Monisa,12-anyos.
“Based on the report submitted by Col. Vincent Mark Anthony Blanco, Commander of the 4th Marine Brigade, they deployed immediately their rescue unit following an information from a concerned fisherman of the capsized boat off waters of Barangay Tandu Bato in the municipality of Luuk, Sulu,” pahayag pa ni Patrimonio.
Ayon kay Col. Blanco, overloaded ang bangka nang maglayag ito patungong Sitio Taindi ng Barangay Kan Mindus ng Luuk, Sulu at nakasagupa nila ang malalaking alon dahilan para tumaob ito.
“Our marines brought the rescued individuals for first aid treatment and medical management at the Luuk District Hospital. As of this reporting, the rescued passengers are in good condition and we turned-over them to the Municipal Disaster Rescue Management Office (MDRMO) of Luuk, Sulu,” dagdag pa ni Blanco. VERLIN RUIZ
