“Responding to the Philippine President’s request, ROK President Moon Jae-In said his government will look into mechanicsms to allow lower tariff for Philippine agriculture products,” wika ni Piñol sa kanyang official Facebook page kahapon.

“Pres. Moon said the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) could be a possible instrument for the lowering of duties,” dagdag pa ni Piñol.

“President Moon said that other mechanisms could also be explored as an option to the RCEP,” ani Piñol.

“The prospects of increased engagements in agriculture between the Philippines and South Korea are bright especially with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Agricultural Cooperation,” dagdag ni Piñol.

JASPER ARCALAS
