BDO VOLUNTEERS AID DAVAO TOWNS HIT BY HEAVY RAIN

In line with its disaster response advocacy, BDO Foundation immediately mounted relief operations in Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte and Davao Oriental, mobilizing BDO volunteers to provide aid in various towns affected by heavy rain. Volunteers including employees of BDO Network Bank branches in the aforementioned provinces visited 11 evacuation sites in seven municipalities to distribute bags containing food, rice and drinking water to more than 8,600 families.

The initiative was made possible with the support of local parishes. BDO Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of BDO Unibank, organizes relief operations in areas affected by natural or man-made disasters. As a follow-up to its relief work, the foundation undertakes long-term rehabilitation and rebuilding projects for the benefit of disaster-stricken communities.
