BERSAMIN NANGAKONG HINDI NA MAUULIT ANG SUGAR FIASCO

NANGAKO  si Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin na hindi na mauulit ang nangyaring kontrobersyal na pag-isyu ng Sugar Order No. 4.

Sa pagdinig ng Commission on Appointments (CA) sa ad interim appointment ni Bersamin, tinanong ni Senador Risa Hontiveros kung anong mga hakbang ang kanyang ipapataw upang maiwasan ang pag-ulit ng miscommunication tulad ng sugar fiasco.

“Tingin ko po sa nangyari ay talagang miscommunication and since we came to this position, we made sure that this will never happen again by requiring complete staff work ordinarily and complete staff work, at that time, might have avoided this confusion and miscommunication,” ani Bersamin.

“Right now, we do not anymore tolerate the lack of coordination that happened here and I have imposed upon everyone not to assume or presume that the President already approves a certain act until or unless I or my senior deputy executive secretary have signified the approval. This is to avoid the unnecessary presumptuous action taken in the fiasco,” dagdag pa niya.

Ipinag-utos ng Sugar Order No. 4 ang pag-aangkat ng 300,000 tonelada ng asukal, isang hakbang na sinabi ng Malacañang na ilegal dahil wala itong pag-apruba at pirma ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., ang kasabay na kalihim ng Agrikultura.LIZA SORIANO
