CAMP CRAME – AABOT sa P289 mil­yon ang ilalabas ng pamahalaan para ma­gamit na ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang dati nang isinulong na body camera system sa kanilang mga operasyon.

Ayon kay Officer-In-Charge PNP Lt. Gen. Archie Gamboa, ang P288,888,888, ay gagamitin para sa supply and delivery ng mga  body camera system para sa kanilang  police operations kasama ang data system, taxes, duties, at maintenance.

Pangungunahan ng National Headquarter Bids and Awards Committee (NHQ-BAC) ang pagsusuri at kinakaila­ngang performance security ng winning proponent at magsagawa ng  final evaluation ng  system bago maglabas ng Supply Contract and Purchase Order ngayong taon.

“This system is expected to equip our police units in support to our anti-criminality and anti-terrorism operations including mission-essential equipment for mobility and investigation,” ayon kay Gamboa.

Nilinaw ni Gamboa na hindi lamang body cameras ang bibilhin kung hindi maging mga sophisticated, reliable, and secure system para magkaroon ng complete system management, real-time live streaming, data storage and backup, and overall connectivity and monitoring.

Nakapaloob sa mga bibillhin ang connectivity systems, accessories, video management software, computer servers, at sufficient storage para sa mga isinusuot na body cameras.

Kaugnay nito ay lilikha rin ang PNP ng National Management and Monitoring Center na magsisilbing unified data hub ng  body camera system.

Habang ang  PNP Information Technology Management Service ang siyang tatao sa lilikhaing monitoring center kasama ang  17 Regional Monitoring Centers, atd 81 Provincial Monitoring Centers (PMCs). VERLIN RUIZ
