BONG GO ASSISTED NEARLY A THOUSAND INDIGENT RESIDENTS IN ORIENTAL MINDORO: ‘PATULOY AKONG MAGMAMALASAKIT AT MAGSESERBISYO SA INYO’

SENATOR Christopher “Bong” Go’s Malasakit team aided impoverished residents in Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, on June 18 and 19. This showed his constant commitment to aiding the Filipino people in their recovery.

Held at Roxas Gymnasium, a total of 890 poor and indigent residents were assisted by Go’s Malasakit Team and received vitamins, snacks, shirts, basketballs, and volleyballs. Select recipients also received shoes and a cell phone.

Meanwhile, through the initiative of Go and Mayor Leo Cusi, the struggling residents received financial support from the government.

As he continues to prioritize the well-being of the Filipinos, Go, Chair of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, offered assistance to those in need of medical care and encouraged them to visit the Malasakit Center located at Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital in Calapan City.

Established in 2018, the Malasakit Center is a one-stop shop that brings together concerned agencies to provide particularly poor and indigent patients with access to medical assistance programs.

To date, the program has established 165 Malasakit Centers nationwide, which have helped more or less ten million Filipinos.
