BATANGAS- MULING nagpakita ng senyales ng aktibidad ang Bulkang Taal, ayon sa Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHILVOLCS).
“Two weak phreatic or steam-driven event at the Taal Main Crater occurred today, 29 June 2024, at 2:31PM and 2:39 PM and lasted a minute each based on visual, seismic and infrasound records of the Taal Volcano Network,” pahayag ng Phivolcs.
Ang bulkan ay nagbuga ng 800-meter-high na plumes.
Sa kabila nito, ang pag-aalburoto ng bulkang Taal ay “unlikely to progress into magmatic eruption.”
Nananatili sa Alert Level 1 ang babala sa bulkan.
“DOST-Phivolcs strongly recommends that entry into Taal’s Permanent Danger Zone especially the vicinities of the Main Crater and the Daang Kastila fissure, must remain strictly prohibited,” ayon sa PHIVOLCS.
