ZAMBOANGA- ISANG rescue mission ang inilunsad ng mga tauhan ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) para masagip ang 19 na tripulante ng isang passenger-cargo vessel na sumadsad sa malapit sa Rio Hondo sa lalawigang ito.
Ayon sa PCG, nakatangap sila ng distress call mula sa sumadsad na Ciara Joie 1 kaya agad na inatasan ang PCG- Special Operation Group Team 1 (SWM) kasama ang mga tauhan ng Coast Guard Sub-Station Rio Hondo, Coast Guard Provost Marshal Unit-SWM at Coast Guard Weapons Communications and Electronics Information System-SWM para magsagawa ng rescue operation.
Agad na natunton at nailigtas ang crew ng Ciara Joie 1 at binigyan ng kinakailangang pag-aalaga sa pasilidad ng Coast Guard Special Operation Unit.
