Hino Motors Philippines, through its authorized dealer Hino U.N. Avenue, has successfully delivered the first batch of Hino 500 Series 2629 6×2 cargo trucks to Producers Connection Logistics, Inc. (PCL). This initial delivery is part of PCL’s total fleet requirement of 35 units, marking a significant milestone in the partnership between the two companies.
The brand-new trucks were received by the company’s key executives at PCL’s new garage, also known as The Banner, located in Parañaque City. The following executives were in attendance: Mr. Arturo Villanueva, Jr., President and CEO; Ms. Florencia Villanueva, Chairman of the Board; Ms. Jennifer Villanueva, Corporate Treasurer; Ms. Dilena Dalangin, Vice President for Finance; Mr. Cesar Romero, Head of Corporate Welfare and Development; Mr. Ariel Dote, Head of Business Operation; Mr. Willord Ordiales, Head of Business Planning and Development; Mr. Ericson Ver Gonzales, Head of Equipment and Facilities; and Ms. Rose Ann Capundag, Deputy Procurement and Finance.
The Hino 500 Series 2629 6×2 is highly regarded for its design, performance, and reliability in handling various operations efficiently. It packs 280 horsepower output and 824 Nm of torque. This vehicle runs on a 6-cylinder, 7.7-liter, turbocharged diesel engine, providing strong pulling power for heavy loads. The units are mounted with Hino Quality Wing Van Body, designed and manufactured at Hino Motors Philippines’ One-Stop-Shop facility in Laguna. And to guarantee safety and peace of mind for every haul, the Hino 500 Series 2629 6×2 is additionally outfitted with full air brakes and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).
