The conference will feature a robust program, as detailed on CCIP’s Facebook page, covering essential topics such as regulatory updates from the Food & Drug Administration, policy impacts from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, intellectual property insights from IPOPHL, and new ethical standards from the Ad Standards Council. Bringing unparalleled opportunity for beauty professionals to enhance their skills and expand their knowledge, attendees can also expect to learn about the fundamentals and best practices on starting a business, and cosmetics specifics like regulatory compliance, product formulation, packaging and labeling guidelines, as well as digital marketing.

Bridging government and industry synergy

Described as “an avenue that brings government and industry together,” CCIP’s executive VP for external affairs Jenny Nunez, this year’s Cosmeticon 2024 promises to be a defining milestone for beauty professionals across the nation.

Meanwhile, CCIP VP for government and regulatory affairs, Rachel Manzano adds that “In a way, it’s like a boot camp for SMEs in beauty. The first time CCIP held the Cosmeticon was in 2023. Year 1 was all about setting up the business, while this year, Year 2, we want to give attendees all the resources they need to grow and sustain their companies while remaining compliant to government regulations.”

Emphasizing the event’s strategic importance, CCIP’s VP for information publication and public affairs, Denice Sy, shares that seminars like Cosmeticon are part of CCIP’s strategic approach to promoting the industry and supporting its members. She says that CCIP’s core objectives can be summarized into three things. First is enhancing the Philippines’ cosmetics industry’s competitiveness and growth, while secondly, fostering a culture of transparency and sustainability and lastly advocating for favorable regulations and policies.

“Through Cosmeticon we are able to tick a lot of those boxes. The seminar paves the way for industry sharing, and capacity building and skills development among attendees. As mentioned by VP Jenny, it’s also an amazing opportunity for stakeholder engagement between various government agencies and business owners,” states Sy.
