BUMUO ang National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) ng isang task force na babalangkas ng plano tungo sa pagbangon ng bansa mula sa COVID-19 pandemic.
“The government needs the utmost cooperation of the public, the business sector, and civil society in restarting socioeconomic activities while preventing the spread of the virus, and mitigating the ill-effects of this pandemic,” wika ni Acting Socioeconomic Planning Secretary at NEDA chief Karl Kendrick Chua.
Ang NEDA-led Task Group on Recovery ang nangunguna sa pagbuo at pag-monitor ng hakbang ng pamahalaan tungo sa pagbangon na tinawag na “Recharge PH” program.
Layunin ng Recharge PH na mag-refocus, patalasin ang disenyo at pabilisin ang pagpapatupad ng mga programa sa ilalim ng 2020 General Appropriations Act upang pagaangin ang epekto ng COVID-19 pandemic at tulungan ang ekonomiya ng Filipinas na makabangon mula sa pagsadsad sa second quarter ng taon.
“Three sub-task groups (sTGs) led by the Department of Trade and Industry (Economic Recovery), Department of Social Welfare and Development (Social Recovery), and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (Governance) have also been formed to assist government in the development of programs and projects that will contribute to the fight against COVID-19 and in the creation of innovative delivery mechanisms in consideration of the new normal,” sabi ng NEDA.
Ang sTGs ay gaganap ng mahalagang papel sa pagtukoy, pag-monitor at pagsusuri sa mga programa at proyekto na tutugon at magpapagaan sa epekto na pandemya.
