NILINAW ni Major General Romeo S Brawner Jr, Commander ng 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, na kahapon November 3, ay inilipat ang labi ni Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) leader Jorge Madlos alias Ka Oris at NOC staff Eighfel Dela Peña alias Pika/Maui,sa Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) at Local Government Unit (LGU) ng Impasugong sa lalawigan ng Bukidnon.
“The 4ID thru the 403rd Infantry Brigade has already turned-over the remains of the CTG leader and member to the CIDG and LGU of Impasugong, after both terrorists were found COVID-19 positive based on the Reverse Transcription – Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) results released yesterday by the Philippine National Red Cross. They are the responsible agencies for the proper disposition of the remains in accordance with the COVID protocols and guidelines. Other forthcoming actions depends on the decision of the LGU”, pahayag ni MGen Brawner.
Nabatid na isinailalim muna sa RT-PCR tests ang bangkay ng mga napatay na CPP-NPA members kasunod ng nangyaring sagupaan nuong October 30, araw ng Sabado matapos na maibaba mula sa encounter site.
Ayon kay Brawner, standard operating procedure na nila na agad na ipinapa-swab test ang mga bangkay na kanilang napatay sa labanan, nahuli o kaya ay sumuko para sa kaligtasan ng lahat laban sa COVID-19.
Nabatid na nagpasya ang IATF na i-cremate ang labi nina Madlos at Dela Pena kamakalawa ng gabi base sa existing COVID-19 protocols na sinusunod ng IATF.

Nagpahatid naman ng kanyang pakikiramay si MGen Brawner Jr sa pamilya nina Madlos at Dela Pena kasabay ng pahayag na lubhang nakakalungkot ang sinapit ng mga nasawi na patuloy na nakikipaglaban sa pamahalaan .
Subalit wala umanong magagawa ang mga tauhan ng pamahalaan kung hindi tumupad sa kanilang mandato na pagsilbihan at pangalagaan ang sambayanan. VERLIN RUIZ
