LUMAGDA ang Department of Agriculture (DA) at ang Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) sa isang Memorandum of Understanding nitong Biyernes upang palakasin ang pagpapatupad ng KADIWA ng Pangulo (KNP) ng DA at ng Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) ng DOLE.
Pinangunahan nina Agriculture Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel, Jr. at Labor Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma ang signing ceremony, kasama ang mga senior official mula sa dalawang ahensiya.
“Through this partnership, we aim to create more sustainable livelihoods and improve access to affordable agricultural products. Together, DA and DOLE are committed to uplifting the lives of Filipino farmers, workers, and consumers,” ani Tiu Laurel.
“The MOU highlights the shared commitment of both agencies to foster sustainable development and create economic opportunities for Filipinos. Key elements of the partnership include providing technical assistance and capacity-building support to beneficiaries, linking accredited suppliers and farmers’ cooperatives to KADIWA Stores to ensure equitable market access, and expanding the reach and impact of both the KNP and DILP programs nationwide,” sabi ng DA sa isang pahayag.
Sa kasalukuyan, ang DA at DOLE ang pangunahing implementing partners ng KNP program, sa pakikipagtulungan ng iba pang ahensiya tulad ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Social Welfare and Development(DSWD), Presidential Communications Office(PCO), at Presidential Management Staff (PMS).
“The KADIWA ng Pangulo, one of the flagship programs of the Marcos administration, continues to serve as a beacon of hope for Filipino communities. By forging partnerships like this, we ensure that its benefits reach even the most vulnerable sectors,” sabi ni Tiu Laurel.
“This strengthened collaboration underscores the government’s commitment to foster inclusive economic growth, improve livelihood opportunities, and ensure food and nutrition security for all Filipinos.”
