MAS PINAIGTING NA OPENSIBA NG NPA DAHIL SA MARTIAL LAW EXTENSION

MINALIIT lang ng Department of National Defense ang banta ng Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) na nagbaba ng kautusan  na paigtingin ang kanilang opensibang gerilya sa buong bansa dahil sa pagpapalawig ng Martial law sa Mindanao.

“Hindi naman bago ito. With or without any order from the CPP/NPA they have been hitting us. Our troops are always ready to face them,” deklara kahapon ni DND Secretary Delfin Lorenzana,

Sa isang facebook post ni dating Defense Secretary Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro ay sinuportahan nito ang pahayag ng kalihim. “This clearly shows why the CPP must be regarded as a terrorist organization and declared as such.

Ayon kay Teodoro “It is nothing but a power-seeking cabal with its own armed brigand group. The statement proves that there is no difference or distinction between the CPP and the NPA so that mere membership in either should be made illegal through the proper steps to declare them as terrorist organizations. Meanwhile unstinting efforts must be taken to deplete their ranks and to guard against the damage they wreak on us all.”

Ilang oras matapos na kumpirmahin ng dalawang kapulungan ng Kongreso ang hinihinging martial law extension sa Mindnao ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte ay agad na nanawagan ang liderato ng CPP sa kanilang armed wing na New People’s Army na mag­lunsad ng tactical offensives sa buong bansa.

“All NPA units must exert all possible effort to punish the worst fascist units and officers of the AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines) who have committed grave crimes against the people,” ayon sa inilabas na pahayag ng kilusan.

Agad  namang tumugon si AFP Spokesman BGEn Edgard Arevalo na: “Gumagawa lang sila ng dahilan upang maisulong ang tunay naman na nilang hangarin: ang magsagawa ng pag-atake at panggugulo.

Noon ngang may umiiral na ceasefire eh nagpatuloy ang mga pag-patake nila sa  mga sundalong nasa humanitarian mission, mga pangingikil at panggigipit sa mga negosyo at mamumuhunan, panunog ng mga kagamitang pansakahan at  mga gawaing bayan kaya nga kinansela ng Presidente ang ceasefire.
