NASA 322 establisimiyento ang ipinasara ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) mula Enero hanggang Setyembre ngayong taon dahil sa mga paglabag sa tax code.

Ang BIR operations ay nagresulta sa koleksiyon ng P1.867 billion na halaga ng unpaid taxes.

Sa kanyang report sa Department of Finance (DOF), sinabi ni Internal Revenue Deputy Commissioner Arnel Guballa na sa ilalim ng “Oplan Kandado” program ay ipinasara nila ang dalawang establisimiyento sa buwan ng Setyembre, na nagresulta sa koleksiyon ng P290 million na buwis.

Ayon kay Guballa, inilatag din ng BIR ang Internal Revenue Integrated System (IRIS)–Taxpayer Registration System (TRS) nito sa third quarter sa lahat ng revenue district offices (RDOs), maliban sa 12 opisina na wala pang fiber optics capabilities.

“The RDOs now have an electronic facility for capturing, monitoring and reporting taxpayer’s primary and secondary registration data—whether   individual or non-individual, and whether with or without businesses,” ani Guballa.
