To recall, noong tumagilid ang mainstream movie industry, minabuti ni Jcee na mag-shift gear sa Pru Life UK, isang pioneer at leading investment-linked life insurance products dito sa bansa. Nagawaran ito ng Insurance Commission bilang first overall ng mga insurance companies ng bansa noong 2017 sa ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) dahil sa kanilang top international practices in corporate governance.
Matatandaan na ang baptism of fire ni Jcee sa pelikula ay ang “Green Paradise,” an indie film with then unknown Cristine Reyes bilang bida. Nasundan ito nang string of teleseryes including cameo and supporting roles in some indie films.
At nag-qualify pa si Jcee sa Top 10 out of 100 competitors in a blind dating reality game show on TV5 which he co-hosted for months with Ana Dizon. Dito lalong nakilala si Jcee sa mundo ng telebisyon.
Napakaganda ng comeback vehicle ni Jcee Martin dahil isasabuhay ang kanyang lifestory sa top-rated Kapuso drama anthology “Magpakailanman” ni Mel Tiangco.
Life for Jcee Martin back then was not a bed of roses. In his younger days, he went through the so-called scraping days of poverty and want, pero nakuha pa rin niyang igapang at ipagpatuloy ang kanyang pag-aaral.
At dahil siya ay gifted with brain and drop-dead good looks (dead ringer nga siya ng actor na si Anthony Hopkins) nag-stand out din siya sa mga extra-curricular activities sa school. Sumulat at nagdirek siya ng isang napaka-memorable play tungkol sa mga street children billed “Mumunting Anghel.”
Ipinalabas ito sa University of the Philippines at hinirang ito ng mga religious group for its social development content. Hanggang sa nadiskubre siya sa showbiz bilang commercial at fashion model ng mga kilalang designer tulad nina Bert Balingit at Ramon Depositario.
One break leads to another at nahirang siya bilang title-holder ng Maharlikang Pilipino at naging Mr. Talent sa Mr. World Philippines. Ngayon siya ay supporter ng nasabing patimpalak which is part of his advocacy to advance the charitable cause of male pageants in the country. Hanggang sa napasok na nga siya sa showbiz. The rest is history.
Sa Pru Life UK naman ay nagsimula si Jcee bilang isang Financial Advisor. Tapos na-promote bilang Unit Manager, then Branch Manager. After which he zoomed out sa isa sa pinakamataas na achiever’s position bilang isang Diamond Prince Branch Manager.
Dahil sa kanyang napaka-charismatic personality as top leader and wealth coach ng Pru LIFE UK dito sa Filipinas, nakilala ang kanyang pangalan sa high-end business community hindi lang locally kundi pati na sa ibang bansa.
At dahil dito, isa si Randy B. Panotes aka Jcee Martin sa mga mabibigyan ng natatanging award nitong darating na July 19 (Thursday) sa Solaire Resort & Casino ng IMA Silver Awardee for Branch Manager Category of the 23rd GAMA leaders Convention, at Solaire Resort and Casino.
