Despite the adverse weather conditions, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go led the induction of new officials of the League of Local Planning and Development Coordinators of the Philippines, Inc. (LLPDCPI) on Thursday, July 25, at the Citystate Tower Hotel in Manila. His commitment underscores the his dedication to enhancing public service delivery through robust local governance.
Go extended a heartfelt welcome to the attendees, recognizing the pivotal role they play in sculpting the socio-economic frameworks of their communities.
“Today, we gather to honor your achievements, progress, and developments,” he remarked. Go conveyed his congratulations to the newly elected national and regional officers of the LLPDCPI, applauding their dedication to elevating local governance standards and promoting good governance.
During the ceremony, Go underscored the necessity of integrity and dedication in public service. He asked all new inductees to raise their right hand and repeat the oath, pledging to uphold the ideals of the association and to perform their duties with utmost responsibility and without any bias, aiming to advance the interests of their communities.
“Ang pagiging tapat at masigasig sa paglilingkod ay mahalaga upang matupad natin ang mga mithiin ng inyong ahensya at ng ating mga komunidad,” he stressed.
Go commended the LLPDCPI for its commitment to providing essential information related to socio-economic development planning and statistical data, which are crucial for informed decision-making at the local government level.
“Ang inyong dedikasyon sa pagbibigay ng mahalagang impormasyon para sa pagpaplano ng socio-economic development ay susi sa pag-unlad ng ating mga lokal na pamahalaan,” he said.
“Sikapin nating walang maiwan sa ating pagbangon lalo na ngayon na may sakunang sumusubok sa ating katatagan bilang mga Pilipino,” he added.
Go particularly acknowledged the presence of President EnP. Efren Logroño; EVP EnP. Annie Rose Llanera; VP North Luzon EnP. Victor Gerald Castañeda; VP Visayas Engr. Continuing his tireless commitment to public service, Go visited the Philippine General Hospital in Manila City, where he conducted a feeding program with his Malasakit Team. Later that day, he extended assistance to typhoon victims in Manila City and Pasig City, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to serving the Filipino people, regardless of the challenges faced.
“Bilang inyong Mr. Malasakit, nais ko kayong paalalahanan na sa bawat pagsubok na dala ng kalikasan, ang pagkakaisa at pakikipagbayanihan ang ating pinakamalakas na sandata. Handa po akong magserbisyo sa abot ng aking makakaya dahil bisyo ko ang magserbisyo, at naniniwala akong ang serbisyo sa tao ay serbisyo sa Diyos,” he ended.
